About JBEC

The JESUIT BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION (JBEC) is a network of Jesuit schools in the Philippines with a commitment to help one another deepen their Ignatian spirituality and character, improve their academic and formation programs, and to become “schools for others.”

The network has ten official member schools: Ateneo de Manila Grade School and High School (est. 1859), Ateneo de Zamboanga Grade School and High School (est. 1912), Xavier University Grade School and High School (est. 1930), Loyola College Culion High School (est. 1936), Ateneo de Naga High School (est. 1940), Ateneo de Davao Grade School and High School (est. 1948), Sacred Heart School Jesuit / Ateneo de Cebu (est. 1955), Xavier School (est. 1956), Ateneo de Iloilo / Sta. Maria Catholic School (est. 1958), and Xavier School Nuvali (est. 2012).
